The Power of Letters (English)

$ 16.00

The Power of Letters is based on a patented new system for teaching the Roman alphabet called the Muscle Movement Method. It has two fundamental features: It uses a simple matrix or grid of circles and lines to help students form the letters, and it teaches the letters in a different sequence from the traditional ABC order. It takes advantage of similarities in movements of the muscles to “build” each letter upon the shape of the one before. Patented worldwide, the Muscle Movement Method is a sequential way to learn the alphabet.

Also available in Spanish, The Power of Letters books feature full-color illustrations on every page with stories that are fun for kids to read. The Muscle Movement Method begins with the letters c, o, a, d, and g, which are introduced in isolation. The student gets to practice the letters in words right away, and entertaining stories help to keep their interest.

The books then move through the rest of the alphabet in the same way, introducing new letters and words that build upon the previously learned skills. After all lowercase letters have been introduced, the books move on to uppercase letters. To finish off the lessons, the books feature a short story with space for practicing more words. And just for fun, the last 32 pages are for coloring.
